Hola,
Bolivia! It has always appealed to me since hearing from my
aunty and uncle about their travels there. A mountainous country known for
their llamas the country does have interesting cuisine. My aunt and uncle ate
guniea pig and also had a photo of a roasted pigs head with the typical apple
in the mouth.
However, I wasn’t going to be that adventurous. I don’t
think walking into the pet shop to ask for two plump guniea pigs, preferably
about 500 grams worth, would have ended well. In any case, the recipe was Guisode Carne, a soupy stew, or maybe a stewy soup. Never the less, the recipe may
contain some tainted influences as it contains pasta. I doubt that an authentic
recipe would contain pasta since Italy is quite some way from Bolivia.
In any case, the result was a nice soup with a bite. It was
hot and accompanied with a lot of water but quite tasty.
Adios
